Cookie policy
This policy lists every cookie and browser storage item Orbitpop uses, what each one does and how long it lasts.
Last updated: 8 November 2026.
What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser so it can remember something between pages. Local storage is a similar feature that lets a site keep information on your own device. We use one strictly necessary cookie, a few local storage items, and, only if you agree, Google measurement cookies.
Storage items we use
- PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) — strictly necessary; keeps your guest pass or signed-in session working as you move between pages — lasts until you close your browser, and a guest pass ends after 2 hours.
- Wallet (local storage) — strictly necessary for guest play; holds your guest balance of play coins — stays on your device until you clear your browser data.
- Game settings (local storage) — remembers choices such as sound and display preferences — stays on your device until you clear your browser data.
- Cookie choice (local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or declined optional measurement, so we do not ask on every visit — stays on your device until you clear it or change your choice.
- Google Analytics 4 (_ga and _ga_*) — optional, only after consent; helps us understand how the site is used — up to 2 years.
- Google Ads measurement (_gcl_au) — optional, only after consent; helps us see whether our own adverts for the site are working — up to 90 days.
We do not use cookies to sell data, and there are no adverts on the site selling coins.
How Consent Mode v2 works here
We use Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics and advertising storage set to denied by default. That means Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement do not set their cookies unless you choose to allow them in the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply close the banner without choosing, the site works exactly the same; only the optional measurement is switched off.
Changing your cookie choice
You can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie settings on the site. Withdrawing consent stops new measurement cookies being set. You can also delete existing cookies in your browser.
Controlling storage in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site data through their settings. Blocking the strictly necessary session cookie will stop the guest pass and sign-in from working. Clearing local storage will remove your guest coins, game settings and cookie choice; if you have a free account, your progress is safe because it is synced to your account.
