How play coins work
Play coins are the free, valueless tokens that power every machine on Orbitpop; here is where they come from and what they can and cannot do.
Where play coins come from
You never pay for play coins. You receive them in these ways:
- 100,000 play coins when you take a guest pass or open a free account;
- a free top-up to 20,000 coins whenever your balance falls below 2,000;
- a free coin drop every 4 hours;
- coins for completing daily missions and reaching new levels.
There is no shop, no in-app payment, no subscription and no advert offering coins for money.
What play coins cannot do
Play coins have no monetary value. They cannot be withdrawn, sold, transferred, gifted or exchanged for money, goods or anything else. There are no cash prizes or prizes of value. A bigger balance simply means you can keep spinning for fun.
Guest coins versus account coins
Guest coins are kept in your browser's local storage, so they stay on that device and disappear if you clear your browser data. Account coins are synced to your free account along with your level, favourites and settings, so they follow you whenever you sign in.
When your balance runs low
If you drop below 2,000 coins, a free top-up brings you back to 20,000. You can also wait for the next coin drop or finish a daily mission. Running low is a natural moment to take a short break, too.
Return and hit-rate figures explained
Each machine shows a return figure and a hit rate. We measured these by running the machine's own code for millions of spins. The return figure is the average share of play coins paid back over that very long run; the hit rate is how often a spin pays something. Both are long-run averages, so a single session can look very different. Results come from a random number generator in your browser, no strategy changes them, and social play does not predict real-money gambling outcomes.
