Guest pass or free account: which suits you?
Both ways to play are free; here is exactly what each one opens, how long it lasts and what it keeps.
Two free ways in
Orbitpop never asks for payment, so the choice between a guest pass and a free account is really about how much you want to see and whether you want your progress kept. Neither option involves money, and neither gives you anything of value. Both start you with 100,000 play coins.
Before choosing, remember that every machine has a free animated Preview. You can watch any of the 36 machines in action without a pass or an account, and without using a single coin.
How the guest pass works
The guest pass is the fastest way to start. You tick two boxes: one confirming you are 18 or over and in the UK, and one accepting the terms and privacy notice. There is no email address, no password and no nickname.
- Lasts for two hours from the moment you start it.
- Opens three guest machines: Gumdrop Galaxy, Toucan Tempo and Bubble Reef Express.
- Starts you with 100,000 play coins.
- Is meant for a short look around rather than ongoing play.
Because there is no account behind a guest pass, there is nowhere to save favourites or a long-term balance. When the two hours are up, the pass ends.
Your guest balance works exactly like an account balance while the pass lasts. It goes up and down with random results, and if it falls below 2,000 you can still claim the free 20,000-coin top-up.
What a free account adds
A free account needs a nickname, an email address and a password. It costs nothing, now or later. In return you get the full site:
- All 36 machines across the six pocket planets.
- 100,000 play coins to start.
- Favourites, so the machines you enjoy are easy to find again.
- Your play-coin balance saved to your account between visits.
- Session reminders, plus take-a-break and self-exclusion tools.
- The option to delete your account at any time.
A saved balance is convenient, but it is still only play coins. A large balance is not worth anything, and it cannot be cashed out, sold or swapped.
Choosing between them
If you just want to see whether Orbitpop is your sort of thing, the guest pass is ideal: two ticks and you are spinning. If you already know you like the style and want to try machines on every planet, the free account is the better fit, partly because of the extra machines and partly because of the player-care tools that come with it.
Some players use the guest pass first and make an account later. That works fine. There is no penalty for either route and nothing is lost by starting as a guest, apart from the guest balance itself, which is not carried over.
Leaving when you want to
A guest pass simply ends after two hours. An account stays until you decide otherwise, and you can delete it from your account settings whenever you like. If you would rather step away for a while without deleting anything, use the take-a-break tool for anything from 24 hours to 30 days, or self-exclusion for six months or more.
